Nicole Bunnell - Director,
Jazz, VCE & Creative Dance.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Applied Science
Physical Education, a Diploma of Education, Associate Dance Teachers Certificate
and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
Nicole has over 18 years teaching experience
ranging from pre school children to fulltime professional students.
She has taught V.C.E Dance both in the public
and private sector for the past 12 years with excellent results, and is an
official adjudicator for Rock Eisteddfod Challenge in Victoria.
Nicole has lectured dance at RMIT University
and is a qualified Pilates Instructor.
She also has experience within the fitness
industry working as a Fitness Trainer and Aerobic instructor for over 10 years.
Merryn
Tierney - Full Time Manager & Course Coordinator
Merryn has
a background in public relations and people management. She is skilled at
coordination of staff, personal development and administration.
Experience
within the industry includes the position of personal assistant to a talent
agency and coordination of events including concert performances and various
showcase performances.
Merryn has
studied extensively in the natural health care industry. As an accomplished
T.F.H (proficiency level) kinesiology practitioner and has furthered her studies
with P.K.P. level IV Kinesiology.
Merryn has
obtained the level of Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui natural healing method
and brings a holistic approach to her management skills with our full time
students.
Phillip
Haddad - Hip Hop
Phil
originated from neighbouring New Zealand, landing in Melbourne in 1991 not
knowing anyone. He has worked his way up from the club scene performing in
various shows, events, fashion parades & corporate functions. Expanding to
choreograph & perform in concerts, video clips, Aria awards, National &
International tours, TV variety shows & televised charity events for various
recording artists, such as CDB, Marcia Hines, Deni Hines, Joanne feat BZ, Ilanda,
Peter Andre and Mercury 4.
Phil has supported international artists such as Destiny's Child, Boys 2 Men, K
Ci & Jo Jo, JaRule, Ashanti, N Trance, Steps & Ru Paul to name a few.
Musical credits include Shout, Oh What A Night, High Society, Annie Get You Gun
& Grease the Arena Spectacular.
Phil has recently returned from the UK where he was headhunted to choreograph
for a major Trade show and on his visit held a hip-hop workshop at the
well-known Pineapple Studios.
Phil
recently co-choreographed & toured nationwide with "Countdown" The Arena
Spectacular & co-choreographed & toured Australia in 2007 with "Countdown 2".
Phil has
been a guest choreographer for the top 20 contestants on “So You Think You Can
Dance Australia” 2008.
In his hectic schedule he still finds time to teach & choreograph at many
studios around Melbourne as well as workshops that are held nationally
throughout the year.
Tim McDowell - Tap
Tim trained in all facets of musical theatre
at The Victorian College of the Arts and The Dance Factory. He has performed in
Opera Australia’s Melbourne, Sydney and Edinborough’s festival seasons of Baz
Luhrmann’s production of Mid Summer Nights Dream.
Other credits include Mack and Mabel, West
side story, Me and My Girl, My Fair Lady, Sweet Charity, Crazy for you, Fiddler
on the roof, Happy Days, Anything goes and The Wizard of Oz.
Tim has had an extensive fifteen year career
not only in musical theatre, but has been seen in many television commercials,
television series and corporate work throughout Australia and New Zealand.
He has now
turned his expertise to corporate entertainment with his own company Crescendo
Entertainment whose credits include regular functions at Crown Casino, the
Melbourne Exhibition Centre and the reopening of Her Majesties Theatre in
Melbourne.
Sheryn Kilian - Jazz, Tap,
Contemporary, Lyrical & Hip Hop.
Sheryn has been a professional dancer for more than 6 years.
She spent 2
years over in Tokyo Disney as ‘ARIEL’. She was the lead performer in the ‘Under
the Sea’ production. This included not only dance and also aerial artist skills.
Sheryn has
performed on Star Struck, Neighbours, The Price is Right, GTV 9 Today Show,
Crown Casino, Grand Prix, 2006 AFL Grand final with Irene Cara ‘What a feeling’
just to name a few of her credits.
She has also
danced in the Australian Musical of ‘The Boy from OZ” with Hugh Jackman.
Sheryn also
continues to do numerous Modelling and Promotional gigs throughout Melbourne,
some of her credits include Delloitte, Big W, Earnest & Young, G-force, Rio,
KPMG, Myer, Playboy and Ferrari.
She has
successfully completed her Certificate III in Dance Performance at The Edge
Performers School and also her DFTA associate dance teacher’s certificate.
Sheryn has
been teaching for 10 years in all styles of dance to all age levels including
Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Contemporary.

Nicole King - ARAD, Classical Ballet,
Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop.
Nicole has worked with in the industry for over 15 years.
She has
trained in all styles of dance at many of Melbourne’s top studios.
Nicole is
registered with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and currently enters students
for the RAD exams in both Grades and Majors.
Her credits
include: Music videos with Past to Present, Peter Andre and a back up dancer for
Lisa Stansfield. Pantomimes with Warner Bros in Melbourne, Singapore, Manila &
Cebu. AFL & NBL Cheerleading & Dragonfly Cabaret shows.
Nicole has
performed in many corporate gigs such as: Prime Ministers Dinner, Big Day Out,
Loreal fashion week, Play Station and BMW launches.
Naomi Marsh - Jazz,
Acrobatics/Cheerleading & Musical Theatre.
Naomi Marsh has been teaching and coaching
for 16 years and is a fully qualified coach, judge, supervisor, and presenter
for Gymnastics Australia.
She has had a long professional dancing
career including such stage shows as Sweet Charity, Crazy For You, A Funny Thing
Happened on the Way to the Forum, Funny Girl, and Mack and Mabel. She has also
launched shows including
Sisterella, and Hello Dolly.
Naomi also has performed at numerous
corporate functions and events during her career.
Her
commercial credits include The Footy Show, Dancing with the Stars, In Melbourne
Tonight, and she has backed such performers as Hot Chocolate, Past to Present,
and Earth Wind and Fire.
John Gray - Hip Hop, Jazz & Musical Theatre.
In 1996, John graduated from Brent Street
School of performing arts in Sydney.
His Musical and Theatre debut started in 1998
with, the Australian and New Zealand Tour of ‘Grease the Arena Spectacular’. The
Asian tour of ‘The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers’ in 98’– 99’ closely followed
by ‘Fame the Musical’ in 99’ – 2000.
2001 – John performed on board a New
Caledonian cruise liner named, ‘The Pacific Sky’.
2002 – 03’ saw John in ‘Leader of the Pack’.
2003 – 06’ Australian Disney musical, ‘The
Lion King’. Working as Resident Dance Choreographer.
John has worked extensively throughout the
corporate world for companies such as Levi jeans, Telstra, Yellow Pages, Nokia,
AMP, BMW, Pentium, Qantas, Fuji, Estee Lauder, Tommy, Wella, and Decore. John
has entertained at sporting events for the NBL’s ‘Sydney Kings & Wollongong
Hawks’, and NRL’s ‘Penrith Panthers’ & ‘NZ Warriors’.
Television credits include: Roy & HG’s
‘Club Buggery’, ‘The Midday Show’ with Kerrie-Ann, ‘Monday to Friday’ talk show
on Channel 9 and ‘GMA’ with Bert Newton.
2008 will see John star in the television
series of “City Homicide”.
Commercial credits include: ‘Kool mints’, ‘The colour bar
men’ on Channel 7, ‘KFC’, Korean fashion labels, and ‘Tropicana orange juices’.
Kim Adam-
Jazz, Lyrical & Musical Theatre
Kim has worked extensively in the industry including movies, television,
corporate events and promotions.
She holds a Certificate III in Commercial Dance and Musical theatre.
Kim has trained at LA Dance Force on scholarship and continues to perform
professionally both nationally and internationally.
Movie credits include: “ Bad Eggs” and “Wanna be’s-Wog Boy”
Television appearances: Walt Disney Special Events, “Hungry Jacks” commercials,
“block buster” television show. Coyote Ugly dancer.
Major Corporate events and promotions include: AFL footy show, Alana Scanlan
various corporate events, Carlton Football club cheerleader, C.D launch
Benedict. John Rowles Casino Show, Nova radio launch dancer.
Guest appearances include: Burns victim charity ball, City of Sydney, The Edge
T.V commercial and various The Edge productions.
Kim has taught for a number of years in both full time training institutes and
dance schools in and around Melbourne.
Vincent Miller - Hip
Hop, Drama and Musical Theatre.
Vincent trained at WAPPA before moving to
London at 19 years of age, to train as an actor at Arts Educational. Whilst in
London, Vincent started training with legendary street locker Jimmy Williams.
He was also privileged to assist Michael
Jackson’s choreographer, Levelle Smith Junior on a number of projects.
Vincent has danced with many artists
including Run DMC. Robbie Williams, The Spice Girls, Billie Piper, Jungle
Brothers, Samantha Mumba, Artful Dodger and Jamiroquai on videos and in
concerts, at awards ceremonies including MTV music awards and Smash Hits.
Vincent has also worked in London’s West End
in the musical “Oh what a night”.
Upon returning to Melbourne in 2001 he
founded 'Unit'd Styles Dance Studio' with 'Arch Rival' from Wicked Force.
Vincent also founded the multi award winning
theatre company “Red Stitch” and was named as the youngest ever recipient of the
Kenneth Myer Medallion for contribution to the arts.
Sue-Ellen
Shook - Jazz, Musical Theatre & Lyrical
Sue Ellen
has an extensive career consisting of Film, Theatre and Choreography. She
has performed in
Baz Luhrmann's
MOULIN ROUGE as Baby Doll, A Chorus Line, Carmen, The Pajama Game and Starlight
Express in Germany. Sue has also danced at the Australian Film Awards,
Australian TV Awards, In Melbourne Tonight, Don Lane Show, Hey Hey It's
Saturday, Star Search, New Faces, Count Down.
Her
Choreographic attributes include A Midsummer Nights Dream, Melbourne Storm
Cheerleaders and Absolutely Not. She has also Assisted Choreographed for The
Extra (Feature Film), 2000 Olympic Games and Starburst Commercials.
Sue Ellen
has recently preformed in '42nd Street' at the State Theatre along side some of
Australia's best known artists and performed in The 2007 grand final of 'Dancing
With the Stars'.
Barbara
Nimmo- Classical Ballet
Graduate of the Australian Ballet School,
Advanced Diploma Institute of Choreology, London.Graduate Diploma in Visual
Performing Arts. Barbara completed a 2 year Diploma Course at The Australian
Ballet School in 1970.
She then went forth as assistant choreologist
and teacher at The Australian Ballet School. Where she completed her certificate
in visual and performing arts and tutored in the Australian Ballet performing
arts program. She has tutored with the Benesh Institutes distance learning
program and Free lanced as a choreologist and teacher.
Barbara was asked to teach Benesh notation in
Indonesia for R.A.D Summer School in 2003.She has taught R.A.D Summer School in
Canberra and in 2005 was Course tutor and supervisor R.A.D (UK). Barbara notated
Beth Deans “Corroboree” for The Australian National Archives in Canberra in
1994-1995
Some of her other, many credits include:
Performing in the Nutcracker Gala,The recreation from notation of “snuggle pot
and cuddle pie” in 1992 and Cinderella in 1991,recreation of “Les Sylphides in
1990, “Symphony in D”, she has toured Hong Kong, China and Taiwan with “Othello”
and “signatures” in 1989 with The Australian Ballet School.
Other works recreated include “Raymonda” ,
“Pineapple poll”, “Serenade”, “Graduation Ball”, “La Fille mal Gardee”, “Petipa
dances”, “ Monotones”, “Lady and the Fool”, “Classical Sonata and “Ballet
Imperial”.
Arch
Ilias- Hip Hop & Breaking
Co – Founder of “WickidForce” Breakers &
Director of Unitd styles Hip Hop Movement. Arch has been dancing
professionally for 12 years focusing on dance styles such as Breaking, Locking,
and Popping & Hip Hop.
His crew “WickidForce” are one of the most
decorated and recognized break dancing crews, three time Australian National
break dancing Champions & have represented Australia in the “Battle of the Year”
world break dancing titles 2000/2002 & 2003.
Arch has also performed in various arenas
around Australia and the world, supporting such acts as the Black Eyed Peas,
Kurtis Blow, Guy Sebastian & Shannon Knoll, Joel Turner, The Hill Top Hoods, TV
Rock & The Rogue Traders, Ricky Lee, Kaylan, Groove Terminator, Islanda & CDB
and more.
Television appearances include Rove,
Neighbours, Star Struck, Hey Hey Its Saturday, The New Price Is Right,
Recovery-ABC, Cactus Garden, Planet X and The Scene.

Arch choreographed, performed in and
assistant directed the Melbourne Fringe Festival winning best dance piece
“Melbourne Breaks” in 2005.
Amy
Carver- Classical Ballet & Contemporary
Amy has trained in full time dance in both
Melbourne and N.S.W for 4 years. Amy has trained in Ballet, Pas de Deux,
Contemporary, Modern expressive, National Character, Spanish Flamenco, Jazz,
Cabaret, Repertoire and Pointe.
She has successfully completed all of her RAD
exams from Pre Primary to Solo Seal.
Amy was a finalist in “The Isobel Anderson Award” and the “McDonald Scholarship”
Amy was a Victorian Titan Cheerleader and has performed at many corporate
functions such as “The V8 Super Cars Breakfast” for Ford and “L’Oreal Fashion
Week” with Natalie Bassingthwaite.
Amy teaches all age levels and standards, from 3 year olds to full time
professional training. She choreographs solo routines for competitions and
prepares students for major RAD examinations.
Bec
Fairey-Hip Hop
Bec Fairey
is a trained dancer and choreographer having worked professionally in the
entertainment industry for the past 15 years. She has trained full time in
several schools.
Bec has
travelled the world working for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, a 6 month
contract in Japan, Corporate Events for Dunhill in KL, Malaysia and “Elvis makes
his Mark” tribute shows in Dubai, just to name a few.
Her
television experience includes “Star Struck” for channel 9, Hey Hey It’s
Saturday and Rove Live. She has also appeared as a featured actor/dancer in
Pete Murray’s latest Video Clip.
Corporate
work includes performing for companies such as KPMG, Sony, Nissan and Citroen
Motor Shows, Retravision, Amway and IBM both local and nationally.
Bec’s theatre credits include dancing with the “Legends” from Las Vegas and
“Wozzeck” for the Australian Opera.
Bec has
performed at numerous nightclubs and dance parties around Australia and is well
known for her unique and innovative styles teaching jazz and hip-hop for many
dance school throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.
